I’d been wanting one for a while. I read the reviews and was unsure if I should buy it. It did take me about a half hour to finally get it to float and I almost was going to return it, but once you figure out how it works and feels it’s a breeze to get it to float. My students love it and it looks so cool in the classroom!

  2. Laddy F. Ospanik

Impressive looking, and easier to set up and balance than I thought.

  3. Racy

Works very well , I’m happy

  4. Darlene Walker

This was a gift for a space nurd, and he LOVED it!

  5. Bartimus

This drove me crazy trying to get the globe to hover over the base. After 30 minutes of off and on trying, I got it to work. After about 2 weeks on my sons dresser it got knocked off the magnetism and it is very frustrating to get it hovering again. Otherwise it is super cool looking spinning and hovering on the base in a dark room. Makes a great ambient or night light, just wish it wasnt so hard and frustrating to get to work.

  6. Italianstallion69

Great ambiance and a cool decor addition to any room. Have some fun with it and even use it as a night light if u want!

I really love this levitating moon lamp and have been thinking for a while to get it. This one is levitating that means it flows in the air, super magical and pretty. It has three light type, and the moon itself will rotate without anything.Perfect perfect gift for girls! All my female friends love it.

  8. Nee

Grandson loves it. I didn’t have an issue spinning this to get it started. I hold it a couple of inches in the center of the platform until it feels like it’s holding itself up, then slowly give it a slight spin.

  9. Em

Takes some time to get it to levitate and was a fun gift. Recommend for any lunar enthusiasts.

  10. John

I never write reviews, but I am so disappointed in this product that I’m making an exception. Once you get the moon to levitate it will only stay up for 30 mins to 2 hours before it gets sucked down by the magnets. I’m pretty sure this has done damage to my base as I can’t even get it to float anymore. Trying to figure out how I can get a refund.

Purchased as a gift for my son. He loves it. Spins easily. He wanted the more expensive levitating globes, which he got, and was returned because they did not spin, not enough sunlight. Totally recommend this one.

  12. Christian H.

It hovers in the air it looks so cool

  13. A. Dizack

Love this floating moon. Exactly as advertised and it’s great that there are three light color option.

  14. Brenda Marquis

I bought this for my eight year old grandson. It’s to remind him I love him to the moon and back. We love the floating feature and he says it reminds him of my love

Takes a bit of trial and error but be patient, there’s a Zen to it! It’s simple and clever but just remember that you’re not going to be able to open the box and plug it in and have a floating Moon. But once you master it, it works fine. And they’ve designed it so that the levitating Moon rotates slowly and can glow bright white or that dull orange Harvest Moon. Great curio for your desk if you ever get back to working in an office again! Although it may attract every paperclip on your desk! Young kids will think it’s a floating ball and immediately knock it off the pedestal. But hey, you’re a Magnetic Zen Master and you’ll find the force field and fix it…after they leave! It’s a great little reminder about what an amazing world we live in where we can harness energy to perform magic for us for no reason other than a whim. It’s cool. Also, nothing to freak out about but it does generate a strong magnetic field. I measured it with a compass and it extends about 18 inches or so from the base. So things that don’t like magnets can possibly be harmed. Especially Uncle Jack’s Pacemaker, but he’s used to avoiding microwave ovens and such so no worries! Just let him know is all!

This is a really nice conversation piece

  19. Chen-Wei Christopher Hong

Took me like 30 minutes to get it to levitate, driving me crazy. The on switch is sometimes not sensitive, requires multiple taps. But once you get it to float, it’s pretty cool.

  20. Bill Lindich

Bought it for a gift and glad I tested it first. Followed the instructions, looked online for hints, but could. Not. Make. This. Thing. Float. I get the idea of balancing it in the magnetic field, but there must be a misalignment in the base because there was no balancing point. 15 minutes straight, and just clunk after clunk as it hit the base, yanked by the magnets. Not many other people have this complaint, so maybe this is just a rare dud. But I sure wouldn’t order another own.

  21. Ricardo Sanchez

Only complaint is how difficult it is to balance the moon in the correct spot over the base.

  22. Kenny

This item was cool till it stopped working. Don’t waste your money.

Nice product, the moon will spin automatically, we set it up in the hall way. All of our friend will ask about it when they come visit us.

I have been searched for a special birthday gift for my little one for a long time. She is a fan of astronomy so I want to find something fancy yet affordable. I then found this floating moon that is on sale on Amazon. The design is beautiful and special. It has 3 light settings that it is not only good for the decoration in the daytime but also good to use as a bedtime night light. The floating function can be setup with in one minute and it spans continuously for days without any problem. My little was very impressed by this special product and she said that it was the best gift she ever received. I am happy with my purchase.

  27. zhenyuan xu

It’s amazing, it looks good at home, it’s a couple of different colors and it’s elegant, it’s floating, it’s amazing. The decorations are nice

Awesome product. Great quality. Personal opinion is it spins too fast. I’m sure most people won’t care at all.

  32. Chase Tyme

Not a great product at all

  33. Gabriel O.

    A really nice product!

  34. titan

Love it. If you like astronomy, you will like this moon.

  35. Das Frittermaus

This operates as I expected and is very cool! Only problem is that it is very difficult to set the moon on the pedestal and I thought it may be a piece of junk at first and almost gave up. But with some patience and perseverance and stubbornness I eventually got the hang of it, and now it takes a little time to set it up, but its no big deal. You just have to know that you can’t just place the moon on the pedestal, you have to gently work it into place until it kind of clicks into place.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas 🎄 and it has been the highlight ever since. Has 3 colors and hovers as it states in description. I highly recommend this item

  38. Nicole

Gave as a gift! Not hard to set up at all….I stuck around for the set up! Lol 😆 amazing

This is, among other things, a perfect little night light for your office. The perfect height above the base is about 1/4″. The magnets are strong, if you’re off, it will pull strongly on the base. Position directly above the center at a 1/4″ with the base of the globe directly down and you’ll be good to go. There is a power button looking sensor touch on the base. It is a toggle only for the light. On off three times goes from white/off, to warm white/off, to warm orange/off. The globe will always be turning slowly counterclockwise, lights on or off. The sensor switch is only to turn on/off the light. This thing is mesmerizing. The globe has various thicknesses, when lit up approximate the sight of the moon. This is waaaaay cool little gadget!!! Perfect gift for those who thought they had “everything they need or don’t need”. Highly recommended!! Place it off to the side of your desk and every once in awhile, you’ll catch yourself staring at it!!

First of all, be prepared to take a long time to get this thing to levitate. But the more you do it, the easier it gets.Secondly, I am impressed at how accurate this model is. No, it is not a detailed globe of the moon for close up examination. It represents the moon as viewed from some distance. Some craters are very identifiable some are small and blend in. It is very impressive. There are three light levels that you can adjust with a touch on the power button. Orange, light orange and white. The orange actually resembles the orange hue it takes on when the moon rises and the white is how it would look at full phase and bright.

Bought this as a gift for my husband. It did take a few minutes to set it but once you find that sweet spot, it’s easier to set the next time. Spins perfectly. Looks like the moon. He loves it.
